Extended information on the use of cookies
This website uses technical cookies to ensure the proper functioning of procedures and improve the experience of using online applications. This document provides information on the use of cookies and similar technologies, how they are used by the site and how to manage them.
Definitions
Cookies are small text files that sites visited by users send to their terminals, where they are stored and then transmitted to the same sites the next time they visit. The cookies of the so-called “third parties” are, instead, set by a website different from the one the user is visiting. This is because on each site there may be elements (images, maps, sounds, specific links to web pages of other domains, etc..) residing on servers other than that of the site visited.
Typologies of cookies
Based on the characteristics and use of cookies, we can distinguish different categories:
Technical cookies.Technical cookies are those used for the sole purpose of “carrying out the transmission of a communication on an electronic communications network, or to the extent strictly necessary for the provider of an information society service explicitly requested by the subscriber or user to provide this service” (see art. 122, paragraph 1, of the Code). They are not used for any further purposes and are normally installed directly by the owner or manager of the website. They can be divided into navigation or session cookies, which ensure the normal navigation and use of the website; analytics cookies, assimilated to technical cookies where used directly by the operator of the site to collect information, in aggregate form, on the number of users and how they visit the site; functionality cookies, which allow the user to navigate according to a set of criteria selected in order to improve the service provided to the same. For the installation of these cookies is not required prior consent of users, while it remains the obligation to give the information pursuant to art. 13 of the Code, which the site manager, if it uses only these devices, may provide in the manner it deems most appropriate.
Profiling cookies Profiling cookies are aimed at creating profiles of the user and are used to send advertisements in line with the preferences expressed by the same during navigation on the network. Because of the particular invasiveness that such devices can have in the private sphere of the users, the European and Italian regulations provide that the user must be adequately informed about the use of the same and express his valid consent. Art. 122 of the Code refers to them when it provides that “the storage of information in the terminal equipment of a contracting party or user or the access to information already stored are allowed only on condition that the contracting party or user has expressed his or her consent after having been informed in the simplified manner referred to in article 13, paragraph 3” (art. 122, paragraph 1, of the Code). This site does not use profiling cookies.
Cookies of “third parties”
Visiting this website you may receive cookies from sites operated by other organizations (“third parties”). An example is represented by the presence of “social plugins” for Facebook, Twitter, Google+ or LinkedIn, or systems for displaying embedded multimedia content such as Youtube, Flikr. These are parts generated directly by these sites and integrated into the web page of the host site visited. The presence of these plugins involves the transmission of cookies from and to all sites managed by third parties. The management of information collected by “third parties” is governed by the relevant information to which please refer. In order to ensure greater transparency and convenience, here are the web addresses of the various policies and procedures for managing cookies.

Duration of cookies
Some cookies (session cookies) remain active only until you close your browser or issue a logout command. Other cookies “survive” when the browser is closed and are available on subsequent visits by the user. These cookies are called persistent and their duration is fixed by the server at the time of their creation. In some cases an expiration date is set, in other cases the duration is unlimited.
Management of cookies
The user can decide whether or not to accept cookies by using the settings of their browser.
Warning: with the total or partial disabling of technical cookies could compromise the optimal use of the site.
The disabling of “third party” cookies does not affect in any way the navigability.
The setting can be defined specifically for different sites and web applications. In addition, browsers allow you to define different settings for “proprietary” and “third-party” cookies. For example, in Firefox, through the menu Tools->Options->Privacy, you can access a control panel where you can define whether to accept or not the different types of cookies and proceed to their removal. On the internet it is easy to find documentation on how to set the rules for managing cookies for your browser, by way of example here are some addresses for major browsers:
